You can have your own blog on this site and write about almost anything you like.  You can also make additional money with your blog through the traffic that is already on this site. Yes, that’s right we are super excited to announce a revenue sharing program at Woman Poker Player.

We are all about supporting women and poker on this site, and now we get to support you and your pocketbook, whether its part of your business or for additional poker money, we are happy to support our members through this program. You keep 75% of everything you earn from our visitors to your blog.

So How Does the Woman Poker Player Revshare Program Work?

• Please read up here if you are not familiar with Google Adsense.
• You earn75% from Google Adsense ads that are displayed on your blog.
• All funding is done direct to you through your Adsense account.
• The more popular your blog becomes, the greater potential you have to make money blogging.  We will be featuring those blogs with outstanding content on this site.  We will also be holding contests and will help you with marketing through the group that will be created for Woman Poker Player’s Adsense Bloggers.
• You may add one Google Adsense to your sidebar through your Blog plugins.

Sound good?  Well let’s get started!

First some:

Rules

1. You must be a member of Woman Poker Player (both men and women are welcome).
2. Your blog must be in English (other languages must have prior approval from site management)
3. Your blog cannot simply be an advertisement for another site, poker room or business; although you are welcome to sign your blog posts with a link to your business site.
4. All blogs that are on the revenue share program must conform to the rules in Google’s Adsense Policy
5. You must actively review and respond to comments on your blog.
6. If you are part of the revenue share program, we will help you spread the word about your content, but feel free to contact us about using social media to help you get more revenue and visitors to your content.
7. Your blog content must be original or you need to have permission to use it and include the original content author.  We have a zero tolerance for plagiarism.

Woman Poker Player staff and management retain the right to cancel or terminate any blog for any reason.  Management decision is final.

Great! So What Can I Write About?

Pretty much anything you like, such as hobbies, poker, children, fashion, music, cooking or any topic you are an authority or simply enjoy writing about.  Some ideas may be:

• Inspiration
• Fashion
• Shopping

Quick Start to Creating Your First Blog

1. You must be logged into the community at Woman Poker Player in order to create your blog.

2. From the Community Home page click on “Community”

3. From the drop down menu select “Create or Edit Blog”

4. The dashboard will open.

1. On the top of the page (red arrow) are the words “Hi (your name)! Do you want your own blog?” Click on the link.

2. A new page will open: Now its time to name your blog. Just some things to think about when you name your blog:

3. • Remember, whatever you name your blog; it should appeal to your readers. It’s the first contact you will have with your readers and the one thing that remains constant as your blog evolves.

4. • Bounce some ideas off of someone else. Get a friend or a co-worker to talk about your ideas. Sometimes the best names come from a conversation.

5. • Think about whether your name is memorable.

6. • Make it short. Long winded titles end are hard to remember and are harder for search engines to pick up.

   

7. Click “Create Blog” **Note: the system will automatically name your blog with your user name. In the blog name do not use spaces. In the blog title use the name with spaces.

8. A confirmation page will open confirming your blog name.

9. A new page will open with a view of your new blog. Don’t worry about the wording on the first post. It can easily be removed and replaced with your own information.

10. Click “Edit” (blue arrow) on the bottom of the blog. !! Now for the fun part!
11. Your dashboard appears in “Edit” mode.
12. Highlight and backspace the title to delete “Hello World” and add your own.
13. Highlight and backspace the wording to delete in the “writing area” And start writing your own blog! If you are html savvy click on the “html” tab. If you are not the “visual” tab will add the code for you as you add details to your blog.

14. Finally, click the “Update Post” on the right hand side of the page.

1. To start a new post click the “Add New” button on the right hand side under the “Posts” menu.

There is so much more that you can do with your blog. Play with the buttons; learn to add photos, tags, music and how to make money with your blog using the “Adsense” plug in.
