I would love to hear your thoughts about our survey for December about whether or not women should still be playing in Women's Only Poker events. All input is welcome - nothing is wrong.

Yes definitely! If it wasn't for women only tournaments, I wouldn't be playing live yet! I needed a Safe environment to practice playing live tournaments and women only tournaments provide that safe feeling. Most women, myself included, feel that men are very aggressive players and that is very intimidating on the tables. I have played in the Ladies Only event at the WSOP for the last 3 years and find that the capabilities of the ladies playing in that event have gone up every year that I play. I know if I don't learn and grow as a player I will be left behind and playing ladies events help me to do that. This coming year I am going to try playing in one of the other events with men.... I think I have a chance now! lol

i dont really mind men at the table because i find it pretty easy to get chips off them,,,there seems to be alot of guys who think they can intimidate a woman at the poker table and i just love to put them in their place!!!!or atleast try to put them in their place...after all it is poker we are talking about!!

hate to say it but i'm sort of on the fence when it comes to this
i mean if you look at history so many things were male dominated and then women's lib came along so that eventually more things were open to women - but at the same time i do think that WOE are useful for those of us looking for a not necessarily safer game but a more comfortable one when the trantrums are little less likely
i think to grow as a player and become more competitive for a lack of a better word, you need more than just a comfortable game to play, playing in the same zone will eventually make you stagnant
as far as the men being more aggressive players, yeah i'd agree but there are some very aggressive women out there - you have to change your style of play to the table that you're at
...just my $0.02
