Well I am a poker Junkie and have been for over 30 years, came across this site via face book. I love poker and thus That's why I am here. I started learning how to play poker at my Aunts Bar at age 16 when a bunch of guys played Stud at the corner back table I use to watch them play and was fascinated by the structure and the out witting in the game. When I became 18, and had money to play I asked if I could join them and they were amazed that I was beating them at there own game. By then I learn there moves too. At age 23 I traveled to Vegas for my 1st trip and got into a tournament there were I took 1st place but got heckled badly as I was told women did not belong playing poker back then. Any ways gave it up after I got married and got back into the game about 10 yrs ago into NLHE, but got more into Stud again in the last year and found I was back into the money. I play live at Casino FallsView, Niagara, or Seneca, side Trips to Vegas, AC, Soaring Eagle and a few other places. Online at Poker Stars and Full Tilt. Good Luck to all the Ladies out there. I do hop around many poker boards and I am a mod on a few. So I am very active in the game I love.

Ok for me there a few things when you go to raise always verbalize the word raise I have seen so many times when someone goes and tries to raise just using chips and the dealer sometimes does not allow it because they do not use the right amount of chips to raise with, Use the word I am raising as it is always taken for value over the chips used.

For tells Observe for changes in color in the face, changes in breathing patterns, or jugular (neck vein) distention) bulging. These are signs that the person is either has a very good hand or is trying to bluff. If they are red face, anxious in presentation, nervous they obviously don't want a call, if they are popped up in there seat, tight, always looking at there hand, sweaty,or respirations there breathing is more rapid. If they are calm, slower breathing, more relax, more conscious, not looking at there cards and focusing on you they have a hand. Also look for fake signs of bluffing or anxiety such as a fake sigh, or yawn, be more aware that some players will try to throw you off by these moves as well.

Also I get into numerous arguments over this on a few forums that women are not aggressive enough at the tables, well they say some are not, we need to start showing we can 3 and 4 bet just like them. We have to be more aggressive pre flop as well on flop start re-raising more ladies don't let these guys push us around, if you feel you have a very good hand play it. We can be nice and still re raise with the best of them.

Good Luck at the tables girls
