Friday, 26 November 2010 13:55

Nichoel Peppe Jurgens  was born in Minneapolis and attended the University of Minnesota where she received her BSB in MIS.  After graduation she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. She worked on film sets doing extra and stand in roles when her roommate introduced her to poker.

She loved playing poker and started reading and watching everything she could to learn more about the game.  She first learned how to play online and then ventured out into casinos to play live where she was continuing to build up her poker bankroll.

liveatbikeNichoel is perhaps best known for her deep run in the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas. She eventually finished in 75th place for a solid cash of $68,979 and a newfound celebrity status, fueled by the media coverage surrounding a female poker player in a prestigious event typically dominated by men. With over 6,500 entries that year, Nichoel had made her mark on the scene in a big way, and her life would never be the same.

Nichoel continues to play online and live games and is a member of Team PokerStars Online and plays using the screen name ‘NicP’.  She goes by her married name which is Nichoel Jurgens. She will also be the commentating "Live at the Bike" webcast coming soon.
