Join Amy and Jen while they host Women's Poker Hour with special guest Kara Scott.  Kara Scott is an award winner in the first Maven Awards as she was voted by the poker community as favorite media personality.  Kara is also an ambassador for PartyPoker and a winning poker player herself.

Born in northern Alberta, Canada, Kara moved to the United Kingdom in 1999 and has been working in the UK media since 2002. Having trained in Muay Thai while she lived in Canada, she landed the job of sports presenter for the Five martial arts show "Now is the Time: Night of Combat" and moved on to associate produce the show as well.

She was the host of the first televised backgammon series with Paul Magriel and John Clark, High Stakes Backgammon, produced from the 2005 World Backgammon Championships for Game TV in Canada and Pokerzone in the UK. Scott also hosted the first series of World Series of Backgammon, in 2006 which aired across Europe on Eurosport, Poker Channel Europe and Game TV in Canada.

Scott was also one of the main hosts of the award winning show "Poker Night Live". She quickly immersed herself in the poker media and previously wrote a regular column in industry magazine "Flush" as well as having articles published in "Poker Player Magazine" and her poker exploits have been documented in other poker media such as "CardPlayer Magazine", "Gambling Online Magazine" and "UK PokerNews." Scott is also one half of the duo behind UK poker podcast "On The Rail". She is also co-host of GSN's High Stakes Poker.

At the World Series of Poker in 2008 and 2009, Kara cashed in the main event in both years. She took 104th in ’08 for $42K and 238th in ’09 for $33K. Kara started playing live poker and finished 6th  in the PartyPoker World Women’s Open for $5K. She then won PartyPoker’s Sports Car Challenge for $51K. Her biggest win came at the 2009 Irish Open in Dublin, Ireland where she took second place for $413K.
