On Sunday at the World Series of Poker Europe in Cannes, the no limit hold'em ladies (non bracelet) event was held.  The winner Barbara Martinez, a professional player from France bested a field of 112 players who paid the €550 entry fee, and was awarded a prize of €16,128.

This win brings Barbara's tournament winnings to $150k, her largest win to date was $52k when she came in 6th in the Belgium Open Main Event in 2009.  She started playing poker in high school which carried on through her college years and in 2007, she decided to try the tournament circuits.  In 2009, she became part of the pro team of Barriere Poker.
