Women's Poker Hour With Special Guest Daniel Negreanu
Monday, 06 February 2012 13:19

Starting right at the top of the all-time money earners list for poker, the hosts of Women's Poker Hour invited four-time World Series of Poker Bracelet winner, the much-admired Daniel Negreanu, to be the first professional male player on the show.

danieldownDaniel was born in Toronto, Canada. In 1967, his parents, Annie and Constantin, emigrated from Communist Romania, hoping to start a new life in the United States. Instead, they ended up settling in Toronto, where Constantin worked as an electrician and sold confectionery. Daniel was born five years after his brother, and even at an early age was extremely ambitious. "From the age of four, I thought I’d be rich. I told my mom I’d build a house out of Popsicle sticks, and move to Cafornia (sic),” Daniel recalls.

danielupDaniel was so confident in his skills at playing poker that at the age of 21, Daniel dropped out of college - just one credit shy of graduation - and moved to Las Vegas to pursue poker full-time.That career choice has paid off for Daniel as he has earned over 15 million dollars in his chosen field, and ranks number two on the all time earners list for poker.

Daniel has earned four WSOP bracelets: the first in 1998, when Daniel was only 23, in the $2,000 pot limit hold'em event; the second in 2003, in the $2,000 S.H.O.E. event; the third in the 2004, at the $2,000 limit hold'em event; and, his fourth in the 2008 $2,000 limit hold'em event.

Daniel is also a popular poker author, with millions of poker fans regularly reading his books, articles and blogs, and he often appears on televised poker shows, as both a player and commentator. In his spare time, he enjoys relaxing at home; shooting pool and playing video games with friends.

Daniel is a true powerhouse in the poker world. He is a member of Team PokerStars Pro and plays online using the screen name ‘KidPoker’.

Tune in to hear Amy Zupko, Jennifer Shahade and Carmenlita Cothron and special guest, the awesome Daniel Negreanu.  Daniel shares his experiences playing with female poker players, gives advice, and comments on poker in general, and talks about being single and what he looks for in a girlfriend.
