It is a common thing in the poker world for many of the professional male players to be in the big S category – single! The reason that many are single can sometimes revolve around poker and the lifestyle it brings. There are not many women that will stand for the long times away from home while on tour, the late nights her man spends at the casino, time spent playing online, and the financial ups and downs. This leaves many of the men in our wonderful world of poker picking up one-off dates as much as they do chips, and with little opportunity for a long term relationship.

On the other side of the scale we have the beautiful women of the poker world. A lot of the time the ladies of the felt have the same issue. I know my boyfriend is far from happy when I attend poker functions, stay away for a few weeks and stay up to the wee hours of the morning, as I am online grinding cash tables. Of course there are also casual female players who don’t delve as deeply as me. If you are a female poker player at any type of semi- or pro level, you are most likely also in the big S category. I have good news for you - your perfect match may be waiting for you across the felt, and honey; you have a wide selection to choose from!

With the WSOP on our door step with all its hype and glamour,  the plans of players globally are all setting into motion for what evens they will play. Many single men and women hope to find some romance along the way in their daily grind. Lucky for us females, we are so outnumbered by male poker players (there is usually at least 10:1 ratio) that we can line the guys up and see who fits out criteria the best. This is great odds for us to be able to pick the man of our dreams.

Most poker relationships seem to last a long time. We see super cute couple, Jennifer Harman and Marco Traniello, and super glam couple,  Vanessa Rousso and Chad Brown, who are couples of the felt with seemingly a perfect and happy match. No doubt that both of these professional poker players had a wide variety of potential candidates to choose from. I think any female with a big S branded on them is a very lucky lady. Picking a poker playing partner could result in the perfect lifestyle, and a fulfilled dream to find a romantic partner who supports your chosen field. The best part is - nobody will be whining about our poker commitments!

I have thought about the benefits of choosing a poker playing partner. For starters of course, they play poker! This is only a good thing for us women, as it is a major activity they will have in common with us.  They speak our language! They are not going to whine about our lifestyle, will support us all the way through our poker dreams and will most likely want to travel to tournaments and poker functions with us. Poker players do have their ups and downs at times, but even during shortfalls there are many benefits.  Being with a poker playing partner can mean more income, more travel and wonderful company who can support you in your career. The parties are endless, the friends are lifelong, and the thrill never stops.

So ladies, if you want a poker hottie – go look! You have thousands of specimens to choose from to suit your criteria. If money is part of the package you seek – pick a winner! Winning poker players are easy to see. If a certain type of personality trait is high on your list – go socialize with the other players, ask for introductions from friends, and soon you will find that Mr. personality you’re looking for. Searching for any of these things isn’t like finding a needle in a haystack. At the WSOP main event there are 8,000 players, mostly all male. This is one poker move you can make where there will not be fierce competition.

As for the men of the felt, sorry guys! You are going to have to be one awesome man to find the poker girl of your dreams. Simply put, there isn’t that many of us to choose from . . . at least not yet!
