With the new Florida no limits law coming into effect yesterday, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino wasted no time in dealing the first high stakes poker hand at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, July 1 ,2010. The Hard Rock has Florida's largest poker room with 50 live tables dedicated to a variety of poker variations; such as: Texas Hold'em, Omaha and Stud.
Roy Carter, poker dealer at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Tampa, is the first dealer in Central Florida to deal a high stakes poker hand at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday July 1, 2010 The new no-limit rule in effect in Florida imposes no limits, meaning higher wagers and bigger posts. It also allows the state's 23 poker rooms to stay open 24 hours a day on the weekend and 18 hours during the week. "There have been comments about Florida becoming the place to play poker," said Russ Christianson, the vice president for gaming operations at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa. |
