Woman Poker Player readers have a chance to ask Vanessa Selbst their poker questions for help with general strategy, playing hands, and tips on how to play their A game. Vanessa is one of the leading female poker players in the game today, with a World Series of Poker bracelet for Pot Limit Omaha in 2008, a World Poker Championship, and last year Vanessa took down the North American Poker Tour at the Mohegan Sun. One of Vanessa's goals is to see more women in the poker field, and she has graciously agreed to take time out from her increasingly busy poker career to help women excel by providing expert poker guidance to Woman Poker Player readers.

Vanesa Selbst graduated from Yale with a degree in Political Science and is currently studying at Yale Law School. She began playing poker seriously during her time at university, and she has since had a professional career with over $2,000,000 in earnings. When she isn’t playing poker, Vanessa concentrates on her studies and also is an advocate in the fight for social justice. She enjoys playing basketball and tennis, and games like pool and darts.
