207 players entered the July 24 Women's Sunday, building a prize pool of over $10,000. It was a particularly exciting Sunday for PokerStars Women. In addition to the five figure Women's Sunday Prize pool, the first €1,500 package was awarded for the EPT London Ladies Event, to be held at the Victoria Casino on October 2nd.

Two $50 bounties on Adrienne Rowsome (talonchik) of Team PokerStars Online and Team PokerStars Pro Fatima Moreira de Melo (FatimaDeMelo) added some extra sugar to the Women's Sunday. Rowsome and Moreira de Melo both chipped up well in the first few levels of play, so getting their bounties was not going to be easy. However, as the blinds increased and the field whittled down to fewer than 100 players, both Adrienne and Fatima began to get short stacked.

In Adrienne's fatal hand, she raised from the cutoff and called a 3-bet shove by Herz.Dame of Germany. It looked good for the Omaha 8 or better expert as she showed down A? Q? against J? 9? , especially when the flop came K? 5? Q?. The turn was the K? but the river brought the T?, giving Herz.Dame the straight and the $50 bonus. Just a few minutes later, Fatima's bounty was captured by Sunnlight from Russia whose A? J? held up against Fatima's T? 9?.

The following prize pool details crystallized when the 1-hour late registration period ended:

Total players: 207
Prize pool: $10,350
Paid finishers: 36

Heads-up in the PokerStars Women's Sunday

Pointful92 entered heads-up play with a commanding chip lead of over 500K in chips to under 100K for cynt86. Although cynt86 started the match with a double up, it only took a couple hands to decide matters. Cynt86 shoved her stack into pointful92 who called with J? J?. Cynt86 showed K? Q? but got no help from the flop 4? 8? T? turn 9? or river 8?. Cynt86, who hails from the Netherlands could console herself with a juicy 2nd prize of $1,552.50.

After over four hours of play, Pointful92 of Canada captured the Women's Sunday title and $2,116.68. Canadians such as Team PokerStars Online's Adrienne Rowsome and professional player Xuan Liu added star power to the event, and it was fitting to see another Canadian player taking home top honors. Congratulations!
