Leo Margets, 888 ambassador and last woman standing in the 2009 World Series of Poker, last weekend won first place in the Full Tilt Poker Masters Series at the Grand Casino in Costa Brava, Barcelona. To win the EUR100,000 first prize, Margets overcame 31 of Spain's best players - all of whom had pre-qualified to the invitation only event.
The three day tournament encompassed range of poker challenges including deepstack, shootout and, finally, a turbo tournament. Margets' victory across this range of poker disciplines confirms her as the most "complete" Spanish player of the year. This title completes a remarkable 2010 season for Margets that began with a second place at an Aussie Millions event and culminated with victories in two exclusive tournaments for top players, the Spanish Poker Tour circuit and Full Tilt Poker Series. |
