Unless you're a superstar actor or celebrity, most people in LA don't have a shot to claim $1.7 million for a week's work. But on Thursday night, six people will vie for the opportunity to claim that paycheck at the Final Table for the LA Poker Classic 10K World Poker Tour® No Limit Hold'em Championship at Commerce Casino, an event that concludes Commerce Casino's six-week LA Poker Classic. The LAPC WPT Championship, which began with 745 people and a $7,152,000 prize pool, has been whittled down to six players, with the second place finisher claiming over $1 million, as well. The event is being taped for airing on the World Poker Tour.
Also at the Commerce, the World Poker Tour Celebrity Invitational will conclude with reality show TV star Trishelle Cannatella (The Real World) at the Final Table. A stunning former Playboy Magazine playmate, Trishelle has demonstrated that her astute poker mind is equal to her looks. This event, which began on Feb. 20 with nearly 75 Hollywood stars, has already awarded more than $100,000 to charity.
