Fallview Poker Classic 2011 - 2.8 Million Estimated Prize Pool
Monday, 25 October 2010 12:50

One of the largest poker tournaments in Canada is scheduled to make its 2nd appearance at Fallsview Casino Resort in January, 2011. The Fallsview Poker Classic will be held from January 6 to 11.  Qualifying satellite sessions are scheduled to begin on October 25, 2010 and run until January 10.

The tournament, which has the highest stakes in Canadian Poker, will once again allow Texas Hold ‘Em players to enter into three events. Depending on lady luck, one individual could end up at three separate final tables for a chance to win a piece of the $2.8 million* prize purse.

Players can buy directly into the main events for an entry fee of $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000, depending on which tournament they wish to enter. Alternatively, players can choose to battle their way into one of the main events through satellite or super satellite tournaments with entry fees as low as $120.  This is the first time super satellite tournaments have been held in Ontario.

Last year’s winners included professional poker player Gavin Smith, who walked away with more than $232,000 in prize money.

“Our players continue to tell us how much they love the action in the poker room, so our annual tournament is sure to appeal to poker players of all levels,” says Greg Medulun, Communications Director at Niagara Casinos."

love this event, however Fallsview once again books it at the same time as the PCA. We can attract so many more Pro's to this event if they chose a better date not the same time as the PCA.
