Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) is pleased to introduce the newest LIPS Grand Champion for 2010, Stacey Nutini.

The action packed LIPS Summer Spectacular weekend in Las Vegas, kicked off with a super satellite to send women to the WSOP Ladies event.  23 women qualified for their seat to both the WSOP ladies event and the LIPS Poker Queen Grand Championship at the Golden Nugget Casino.

Day one competition brought players down to the money. On Day Two, it was a battle for final table and ultimately the title. Making the final table were Cheryl Blake, Lisa Towns, Sandy O’Donnell, Mary Brown, Lisa Parlianina, London Gallagher, Sunsttee Vun, Paula Stregger, Corinn Ignatieff and Stacey Nutini.

“When Stacey arrived to Day Two, she was down to 12 big blinds. But her patience and calculated aggression brought her to the final table as the chip leader”, Said Lupe Soto, LIPS Founder. When it got down to heads up between Stacey and Corinn, they were passing chips back and forth and it was anyone’s game. But in the last hand, Stacey pushed with K7os and she hit her king on the flop. Corinn didn’t improve and Stacey won her title, bracelet and over $11,000 in first place money.

Stacey Nutini moved to Las Vegas a few years ago to pursue poker.  She worked as a black jack dealer until recently when her business

LasVegasPokerSource.com, a poker tournament information portal website for Las Vegas took off and now plays poker full time and develops her website with her partner on a part time basis. “This is an accomplishment of which I am proud of beyond words”, said Nutini about her win.

The LIPS Championship is also a fundraiser for PokerGives.org, the charity founded by Mike Sexton, Linda Johnson, Jan Fisher and Lisa Tenner. The silent auction raised close to $6,000 for the charity.
